Really? That’s the new mission of Daily Kos? Power Mattters. With a period at the end. Nuff said I guess.

So, not Elect More and Better Democrats. Not Black Lives Matter. Power. Power Matters. I’m going with, yeah, no.

I sent a story from Daily Kos to a friend that was full of really good recipes. He’s not on DK and doesn’t read it I don’t think, though he is a lifelong Democrat. His response to the recipes? He didn’t read them.

He took one look at the site and texted me, a bit pissed, saying; “Don’t send me shit from MAGA sites, ever!” He didn’t even read the recipes; he saw the header of this new site “Power Matters.” and thought it was a MAGA site.

So, I sent the same story to a couple of other people. One liked the recipes, two were surprised I hang out on a Republican site. The Republican friend I sent it to thought it was a Republican site and asked if I had finally come to my senses.

I’m going to list some common definitions of power, from Websters:

~ the ability or right to control people or things

~political control of a country or area

~a person or organization that has a lot of control and influence over other people or organizations

~physical force or strength

Again, I’m going with yeah no. The definition of matters is a simple “to be of importance: signify“. Power Matters. I’m going to give it a hell no this time!

What matters to me?

~people, kindness, equity, peace, elections, voting, animals, the planet, health care for all, housing for all, education for all, I don’t know, what matters to you?

People Have the Power is a pretty good slogan, call to action, whatever.

This is where my story ends. Anything between this and the comments has nothing to do with me. ZT
