WriteOn! Beta Thoughts [1]

So, has anyone gotten into the beta release and made any discoveries? How well are we going to be able to manage going forward? I haven’t succeeded in publishing a story to the beta group I created, and can’t see any way of queue-ing or scheduling a story ahead of time. That is, I eventually stumbled on a page that gave a schedule, but not a way of completing the schedule and leaving it in place.

I keep trying.

OK, the sequence seems to be, tag your diary, hit the preview button at the top, then hit the edit button. On THAT page there is a schedule function, which you fill out and then the “schedule” button is at top right, nowhere near the calendar you just used. And the choice of group is under the schedule too.

Aaaand, as soon as I tried to repeat that success, it wasn’t there anymore.

I was able to embed a YouTube video in the familiar way, BlueSky was trickier. I got it once, then not the second time.

Hah. Copy link to post on Bluesky, paste it in, same as the YouTube paste. Skip the “embed” tool entirely.

For practice tonight,
