Ukraine’s Army has become so much more lethal now: Putin ordered to prepare Russians for the failure of a new offensive by the Russian army Analysts at the American Institute for the Study of War point out that Russian troops have already launched a spring-summer offensive on the Ukrainian "belt of fortresses" in the Donetsk region. Despite this, dictator Vladimir Putin and members of his team have already realized that he is doomed to failure.(emphasis mine) The Russians are being prepared for a new defeat of their army Moreover, it is indicated that over the past week, the Russian army has lost as many as 8,710 of its soldiers … over 6,090 Russian occupiers were killed and wounded in just 4 days. news.online.ua/... That rate of loss in such a short period of time is just not sustainable, even by past Russian standards: “Such a high level of casualties is unacceptable, given Russia's current recruitment rate, and will likely reduce Russia's ability to conduct such large-scale assaults in the medium and long term, American analysts emphasize.” So what is Russia going to do now? Why, advance slowly, of course. Or at the current rate that they’re losing personnel and materiél, they may not even make it to the “summer” part of their offensive: A member of the Russian State Duma said on March 23 that all wars have casualties, but Russian troops will try to minimize losses by advancing "slowly" towards Sloviansk and Kramatorsk. The Russians better advance slowly to the “Forest Belt” because that area is exactly what its nick name says it is … a huge fortress which Ukraine has been steadily building up since the beginning of the invasion. The Ukrainians somehow always knew it will come down to this area … the industrial heartland of the Donbas. Huliaipole was seen by Russia as Ukraine's soft defensive underbelly and a gateway into the central interior.
