Confronting Our Peril [1]

Not a story yet, but more like a comment:

What we are experiencing today is the failure of education to deal with the multitude of distractions that preclude learning. For the survival of our nation, being taught to read at an advanced level and taught to think critically is paramount. If a person can’t read, they are dangerous. And so it is that our country is at a dangerous stage. To wit, a truculent lout has managed to become President, not once but twice; he has stated that he loves stupid people and that he is going to eliminate the Department of Education. What to do? How to begin? What is our solution?
