x Texas teachers having to post donation lists of things they need for the school year is a scathing indictment of Texas governmental leaders at every level and shouldn't be treated as normal — Evil MoPac (@evilmopacatx.bsky.social) July 28, 2025 at 1:38 PM

Evil MoPac: “Texas teachers having to post donation lists of things they need for the school year is a scathing indictment of Texas governmental leaders at every level and shouldn't be treated as normal” No image

For those who are unfamiliar with TX Republican-controlled, two-year budgets that basically hoard state revenues rather than invest in water infrastructure repairs, public education, and other seriously underfunded needs, Texas has nearly $24 billion surplus and projected to have more than $28 billion in rainy day fund (CBS News Texas, Jan. 13, 2025).

Evil MoPac: “When you open that TxTag bill for $729,469.69” Image of Fed Chair Jerome Powell in suit and white hardhat reading text on a white piece of paper he’s holding

For those who can’t see the image, it is actually from the July 24th tour when Powell publicly fact-checked a certain lying liar’s lie about the cost of Fed Reserve headquarters renovations.

Here’s today’s important diary by Meteor Blades:

Please read and rec to help keep MB’s diary on the reclist.
