Our narcissistic, sociopathic Convicted Felon In Chief is about to take a wrecking ball to the country. He’s obsessed with destroying what’s best about America — our justice system, our ability to defend ourselves, and our sense of being ‘One People Under God.” And the Democrats aren’t saying shit about this (and I’m listening!) Here’s something (actually, the only thing) I admire about Republicans — THEY FIGHT. When Clinton, Obama and Biden were elected, there was never a honeymoon period. Republicans fought them with everything they had from the first day, even if what they were doing was poison for the country. They fought hard and they fought dirty and they didn’t care about what anyone said, especially the pundits. They created an atmosphere of acrimony and partisanship and then ran to Fox News decrying all the acrimony and partisanship. Okay, so what would that look like if the Democrats decided to, you know, FIGHT? Right now, this second? Here’s what fighting looks and sounds like: 1) REPUBLICANS, ARE YOU REALLY OKAY WITH AN ALCOHOLIC, MISOGYNISTIC, INCOMPETENT RAGE MACHINE RUNNING THE BIGGEST, SCARIEST MILITARY IN THE WORLD? Are you willing to hand over an insanely complex defense bureaucracy with a budget of over 880 BILLION WITH A B to a guy who failed TWICE to run non-profits with ten to fifteen people? Are you prepared for the consequences when China invades Taiwan at 4 a.m. and the Defensive Secretary can’t be roused because he’s drunk? Of all the people in the United States, is this guy REALLY the best we can do? Or even the second worst? BONUS QUESTION — JONI ERNST, are you really going to vote for this total disgrace, just because a bunch of MAGA idiots threaten you and Elon Musk is whispering that he’s going to spend 80 million dollars to support a primary challenge unless you bend the knee? 2) REPUBLICANS, ARE YOU REALLY OKAY WITH A DELUDED CONSPIRACY MONGER DESTROYING AN AGENCY PLEDGED TO PROTECT US AND OUR CHILDREN? Are you okay with every parent in America terrified that their child might be seated next to a kid with polio, measles, or the mumps because Trump and RFK Jr. refuse to fund schools that mandate vaccinations? Are you okay leaving America unprotected in case there’s another pandemic? Are you ready for 4-5 million body bags because you didn’t have the guts to stand up to an attention-seeking loony? 3) REPUBLICANS, ARE YOU READY TO DESTROY OUR MOST IMPORTANT DOMESTIC LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY BY TURNING IT OVER TO A DERANTED SYCOPHANT WHO IS LIVING IN A FANTASY WORLD, WHO THINKS THAT A RIGHT-WING REPUBLICAN APPOINTED BY TRUMP OVERSEEING AGENTS WHO ARE 80% RIGHT WING REPUBLICANS ARE SECRETLY ‘WOKE LEFT WING LUNATICS? Do you really want agents devoted full-time to persecuting Liz Freakin’ Cheney instead of tracking domestic terrorists and other criminals? Can you see any way this doesn’t turn out to be a catastrophe? 4) REPUBLICANS, ARE YOU READY TO LOOSE HUNDREDS OF CONVICTED CRIMINALS ON THE COUNTRY BY STAYING SILENT WHEN TRUMP PARDONS THE J6ers? WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO SAY WHEN ONE OF THESE THUGS KILLS SOMEONE ELSE? These are violent felons who murdered people in cold blood. You scream about law and order, and putting violent felons behind bars. Can you at least speak up to keep Trump from freeing all these murdering goons? REPUBLICANS — We Democrats have no power. You Republicans now control everything. The fate of America is at stake. In his biography, Mitt Romney said that you knew Trump was guilty as hell at the 2nd impeachment trial, but you were afraid that crazed MAGA gun nuts would stalk you and your family. I empathize with you. If this is true — if you are too scared to do your duty and do what’s right for the country, RESIGN and let someone more courageous serve. The Founding Fathers risked certain death when they signed the Declaration of Independence. Had the revolution failed, they all would have been hung for treason. They stood up. Will you? Now is the time for Democrats to say these things, because Trump is going to, in the words of Steve Bannon, “flood the zone with shit” from Day One, and things are going to go wrong in a hurry.
