Yo Donnie Boy: Quack, quack [1]

Is it too soon to start needling him yet? From one angle, it seems like it should have started long ago. That angle is the playground, where a large fraction of dementia-addled Donnie Boy’s damaged psyche still resides. That twisted little bully who once threw rocks at toddlers now rules the world. Or so he thinks. One reason he gets away with so much is because very few respectable commentators are fluent in playground trash-talk. For instance, he’s constantly throwing out hints that elections aren’t legit anyway, so let’s just can the whole messy enterprise. But what if Trump had to confront the prevailing rules for a few days, or everyday? I haven’t seen any hint of it since the election, which is why I’m suggesting the process begin now, or soon. He needs to get upset about articles and talk-show panel discussions noting this hard constitutional fact, restated at various levels of headline-writing artistry:

The idea is to get under his skin, of course, but the larger point is to make him and the lickspittle press confront his menacing threat that elections — and that last shred of respect for the sacred constitutional order blahblahblah — are things of the past. As a polite BBC fan might put it: I’d very much prefer this be sorted at once. On Jan. 20, this guy has exactly 1,461 days left in his miserable political life, if the cheeseburgers don’t get him first. He should be reminded of that frequently, with little countdown graphics inserted everywhere and updated on the daily. Rub it in, with extreme yet whimsical contempt: The clock be ticking, Donnie Boy. No more terms after this.
