Kitchen Table Kibitzing ~ 12.2.24 [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-12-02 We have a forecast for a bit of snow today. I’ll freeze believe it, when I see it. Our high today is 39 with a low of 29, so it’s possible, I guess. Snow or no, it’s fucking cold outside and inside. I grew up in Michigan and as a kid wore shorts in my house and was warm. I wonder what my parents kept the heat set on. I wonder what their bill was. By the time I was old enough to pay my own bill, I wore long pants and several layers of shirts inside. I had a warm but light weight coat that went almost to my ankles, and I wore that when going to visit anyone because who knows what they kept their heat set on. I could comfortably leave that coat on, be warm and fashionable. Now, my heat is usually set on 69. 67 at night and sometimes 71 when I’m sitting around reading or watching TV. Even with layers of clothes and blankets, I am often cold at 71. I mean my nose is even cold to the touch. I don’t trust that though because I know from the past that my nose will feel cold and when I look at the thermostat it’s 74 in here. One trick to staying warm is to get up and move around. Another is to go outside for a few minutes, it always feels roasty toasty in here after that. However you’re doing it, I hope you’re staying roasty and toasty. x It's like going over a mirror. pic.twitter.com/PxBSwpu99u — Figen (@TheFigen_) September 23, 2024 x Glacier Rivers ..
