Never Underestimate A Man Who Overestimates Himself [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-12-01 By David Glenn Cox Bad things come in threes. So goes the old saying, but for Russia it is certainly true this time. The war results are mixed, their economy is failing, and new enemies will appear just as Sun Tzu had predicted. “When your weapons are dull, and your soldiers exhausted, new enemies will rise up.” The Russians are in trouble in Georgia, trouble in Syria, trouble in places you couldn’t even pronounce. If Russia gets bounced from Syria, it is just another clue for the Oligarchs that young Vladimir is losing his grip. The Russian Ruble has stabilized for the moment at 9/10s of a penny in value. Economists say at 7/10s of a penny it’s time to put up the closed sign and get ready for the fire sale. Phase one, food prices soar and become unaffordable. Phase two, food deliveries cease because no one can afford to purchase it. Phase three, merchants close their doors and join the other Tom Joadskis out in the road. The police in Moscow performed another mass arrest/patriotic military recruitment drive the other day. Any male age sixteen to sixty, blind crippled or crazy can be applied for at gunpoint. Uncle Sam says, “I want YOU!” Uncle Vladimir says, “We’ll take Anyone!” It happens all the time in authoritarian regimes. “You get me 200 recruits before sundown, or you’ll go in their place!” Suddenly, there is a strange shortage of bus and truck drivers. A shortage of railroad engineers and warehouse foreman, pharmacists and computer programmers. All those little people who make society go. “All right Professor Oppenheimer get in the truck you’re in the infantry now! Quit your bitching, they are going to be paying you in worthless currency!” But all isn’t well in Ukraine as like France in WW1, are being slowly bled white and it can’t go on like this much longer. Does anyone not see where this is going? European troops will be in Ukraine soon because the alternative is unthinkable. And because the United States can no longer be counted on. It’s all the same war. As Syria has recently exposed. Where do Hamas and Hezbollah get their weapons from? Who made the Kalashnikov the best-known rifle in the whole damn world? If you were an underfunded terrorist group trying to throw off the yoke of Western oppression, who would you call for help? Iranian drones, Chinese parts and North Korean meat dummies and inferior military products. Which will fail first? The military, the economy or the Russian population. It’s wintertime and that should help to keep the food riots down to a minimum. As the crowds angrily gather around the shuttered grocery store trying to spend their worthless currency. Something has got to give. Either a possible nuclear confrontation now or an eventual nuclear confrontation in the future. If Vlad succeeds and Europe fails to act. Putin will have learned the lesson a dictator is always quick to pick up on. These guys are chicken shit! Give me half of Czechoslovakia, and I won’t go to war! Oh, that’s my last territorial ambition! I promise, then we can have peace! (on my terms) It might even be America’s election of a royal sovereign is all that keep’s Vlad in power now. The possibility of an eleventh-hour reprieve, if only they can hang on until January 20th. Money talks and in Russia it screams worthless. A black-market springs up in foreign currencies and the government gets none. Why did Russia retreat so quickly in Syria? It could be their commander called Moscow on the hotline asking for reinforcements. And was told the second Tuesday of next week maybe. Or there aren’t any reinforcements available. You’re on your own comrade. Make your way to the coast and find a way home as best you can. And oh, don’t call here again. What is Tehran without Russia? What are the Houthis without Moscow? How will the eternal Palestinian struggle go on without all of those free rockets and missiles sent from Moscow? It’s all the same war. But here is the flaw in the slaw. The King’s incoming Administration is dedicated to overturning the tables of domestic government. They want to contemplate their navels and go to war with each other. They have no time for foreign entanglements. Elon from OZ says. Fighter planes are obsolete, and we shouldn’t build them anymore! Two words, McDonald Douglas. Word to the wise; stay out of open cars and dark alleys Elon. The naivety of the newcomer. Elon lowers his lance and heads straight for the windmill. “Charge!” Elon’s going to take on the Military Industrial Complex. Gee, I wonder who will win? Let’s all watch! But it is the clearest example of what is coming. Elon vs. the Defense Department. The King vs. the Education Department, the Justice Department and the Defense Department too. The King versus the Congress and the courts. Infighting is outstanding! What with all the pandemonium the King has in store. Foreign entanglements are sure to be pushed aside. The King has personal scores to settle! With just one statement by the American King, a larger European war might be averted. But the King must wait until he sees who will make him the best offer. Everything is a transaction you know. “Never underestimate a man who overestimates himself.” ― Franklin D. Roosevelt Never doubt the ability of a lifelong fuck up to follow his own destiny.
