Evening Shade Seekers, Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone is having a great day! Today is all about giving thanks, so no politics. I'm off to my sister's for the feast, but we're starting relatively early. I may or may not be back when the Shade posts and am unsure how busy it will be. Be nice, welcome all comers and enjoy the Shade as the turkey (or whatever you celebrate with) coma sets in.

Let me set the scene with a little mood music. RIP Alice.

Did you remember to start by celebrating National French Toast Day?

Did you get all your feast shopping done (long)

Did you spend the day slaving over a hot stove?

Did you remember to make time to relive favorite holiday memories?

Do you do an annual family sporting event? My old boss had an annual neighborhood Flag Football match on Thanksgiving morning (affectionately known as the "Mud Bowl" for obvious reasons). I got invited one year and everyone was surprised when I pulled out my old cleats. It was a muddy blast!

Or perhaps, you just enjoy watching Thanksgiving football on the TV.

However you celebrate, I hope you had a wonderful day with friends and family!
