[1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-11-26 Just a short post. Today I went to Daily Kos’ tending stories and found two different posts with FAFO in the title. First, a post about how the poster likes FAFO posts. Second, a post about how the poster hates FAFO posts. Not recognizing the acronym, I searched for it on Google. I discovered that it stood for “Fuck Around; Find Out.” But this isn't a new statement. The acronym is ugly and it implies that this is some sort of new thought. Instead, let's go look historically for equivalent phrases. Going back to The Bible, Hosea 8:7, you'll find “For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind.” This is a much more poetic way of saying the same thing. Come on folks. There's no good reason to avoid poetry in your arguments. We can do better.
