Jack Smith has asked U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan to dismiss the federal election interference case against President-elect Donald Trump, according to MSNBC.

The American people now have the right to believe that Trump was guilty of all charges because the courts were unable to put him on trial. The only court that can judge him now is the American people. All the public evidence shows he’s guilty, and he didn’t present any admissible evidence he isn’t.

This gives state AGs more ammunition to take on the coming administration, in addition to the fact Congress did not remove his inability to hold office. This decision again undermines the legitimacy of the federal government.

Of course, Judge Chutkan could order the government to go forward with the case, but given the election results where Trump narrowly defeated Kamala Harris, that is unlikely.

What we see here is another failure of justice. And that really comes down to Donald Trump and his supporters obstructing justice.

EDIT: This would be a good opportunity for President Biden to pardon anyone who investigated or prosecuted Donald Trump and his supporters. Give them a blanket pardon for any and all federal crimes. Plus, as I’ve suggested, he should give binding employment contracts to all Civil Service workers before leaving office. It’s time to harden the federal government against the fascists.
