A Call to poll workers' feed back [1]

I have been sick to my stomach since Nov 4th, 2024, wondering if anyone else experienced what I did on Election Day. . I am a poll worker and I have done this in my district for three years now. It’s been a joy to be involved and to learn about how our elections are run because it has shown me that all of the hype from the trump camp was, in fact, all complete malarky. I wish that more people would get involved… but this election night was a real stressor.

I had a new poll worker on our team who insisted on allowing folks to see the screen on our poll pads, and/or to give out information instead of requiring the voter to give their information to him. I stopped him three times from this. I also watched him very closely.

I had to require him to be discerning with regard to signatures, asking him to ask the voter to re-do the signature because it shared no resemblance to our record. In the meantime, the other chair and experienced poll worker with us were unwilling to correct him. I am confident that I was able to stick this individual to the rules, I am wondering if any other poll workers experienced this. If so, did you report this to your election board and were you able to correct your colleague(s)?
