I'm taking a break from the doom and gloom [1]

I need a break.

I came here to catch up on the news and was instantly met with my heart pounding in my head, along with numbness and tingling down my left side, and tingling across my face. I know this is stress that’s doing this because I was fine all day. It was at that moment that I decided it was time to step away for a long time.

I know times are going to be bad. There’s no doubt about it, but what we don’t need are constant doom and gloom posts repeatedly throughout the day. This is why people start to ignore the news. They need a break from the constant hammering which is now causing PTSD for many people, myself included.

I know it’s not going to be easy. I know that the orange slimy tree mold has resumed power in the White House and has plans for utmost destruction with help of his bag of fleas and ticks who are attached to his coattails for the ride so they can get what they can out of it.

But I need to do other things, and go to my own world and recover.

I will probably miss the news at some point and have to poke in to find out what’s going on but it won’t be a daily thing as it has been since I joined officially during mango menaces first election. I had been a lurker since Shrub when my father lurked and gave me links to various articles he used to read.

It’ll feel funny not coming here daily but I think it’ll be a good thing. Goodbye everyone for now, keep your chins up and stay safe.
