Will We Rise Again? [1]

A rant! I am fucking exhausted. I have missed the last 3 days of work and now am taking Xanax to deal with panic attacks. I have been volunteering nonstop for the Democratic Party since 2008. The same group of 20 or so burned out volunteers do all the work for an entire county. We knock on doors, make calls, sit at booths all day in the blazing sun. I am an introvert and I am completely drained.

Democracy requires participation to work. I loathe people who don't volunteer to help. I loathe infrequent and non voters. They get all rude when a volunteer asks them to vote.

I am so pissed at liberals who do nothing more than wear fucking chucks and pearls or give money. We the burned out volunteers need more help.

I am sick of us underestimating the GOP and laughing at them. It turns out paying people to canvass actually works. It turns out they do know how to register and turn out voters. THEY WIN even with grossly unpopular ideas. Why? They own the media. We need our own media. They show strength and confidence. They basically tell people what they will do and actually do it by any means necessary.

They abandon Senate norms when they need to. They use misinformation. They understand psychological warfare.

Finally, they understand that abortion is not the most important issue for most people. But expensive groceries are! Duh! We had 4 years to deal with grocery prices. Why should voters believe we will fix that now?

We have had power and as usual compromised too much with the GOP. We should have eliminated the fucking fillibuster and passed universal healthcare instead of obama care. We could have done alot but were too worried about norms that the GOP abandoned decades ago. Take off the fucking gloves.

We failed to enforce anti-trust laws for decades. We failed to prosecute Dump on day 1 of Biden's term. Merrick Garland is a useless idiot and complicit.

Bernie is right. We need more people like him, like Elizabeth Warren, like AOC and less Chuck Schumers.

Identify politics DOESN’T WORK. Most people just want to live their lives. They don't care about trans rights or glass ceilings. They are barely getting by. The price of food matters if you make $15/hour and pay over half your pay on rent.

We must not compromise to help Dump at all. We need to start over from scratch. We have failed.

I don't want to fucking hear about how democracy worked. Joe, I love you but that is not what we need right now.

Musk literally bought votes. Oligarchs rigged this election and won. We are now basically Russia and Turkey. I seriously doubt we can win another election until we fugure out a new strategy.
