At least the filibuster is very likely to be ended.

You know, as sort of at least a good thing in this radioactive flaming garbage storm.

Yes — we’ll have and endless number of bad things happen as consequence.

Even many broken aspects of democracy itself, if you can call it that in the end.

But at least this will take away the excuse that nothing ever gets done, and nothing is ever allowed to be done.

Because obviously, when a group of people really want something done — they will do it.

And “the other party in the 1/3 minority won’t let us do it” was always such a silly excuse. Even in “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington”, it was a comedic interpretation, that we somehow made as real later.

Now we’re in the age of waves of public anger.

Trump told folks that he’ll make things better, so much better.

So, anger will flow, and he’ll aim it for a while, but it will overflow, as we’ve seen in endless third world nations. Feelings of betrayal do not play out well among fostered mobs across years. Red meat runs out, at the core of all fascism.

And the tin pot dictator will at some point have to hide away or worse.

At horrible cost — but at least the excuses not to move fast and fix things in the name of politeness will finally be dust forgotten in the maelstrom.

So… there’s that.
