Song of Zion: The Day After [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-11-06 Well folks, it’s been a rough 24 hours. I was hoping to write a lovely profile of our next first man. But here we are. Some of us want to speak our sorrow, look at what’s ahead, and mourn what seems inevitably lost. Some like me, se a horrible repetition of the past and need to talk about it. Others want to hold on and see how bad it will be without jumping. Others say now is the time to get up and fight, and others wish to hide. Some looking for where they can find hope. I’m just going to post some videos that speak to those different feels. Feel free to speak to post your own and share your thoughts in this moment below. Welcome to A Song of Zion / Dvar Torah, our monthly (first Thursday 7pm EST) check-in and virtual minyan for Jews on Daily Kos. We are a community and study series named for our heritage and for the Dvar Torah tradition. This is an open thread, and we treat it as a safe space for Jewish folks here. Non-Jews are welcome but we ask that they listen more than speak. No squabbling, please: if you want to fight, please step outside. Newcomers and visitors can get their bearings from our host-group’s profile/ statement HERE and from recent & past posts (approx. date order). To add our series’ posts to your activity stream, click on DvarTorah in the tag-list at the foot of any of our diaries, and you’ll get our dk tag-page where you can click on the FOLLOW button.
