Republicans Are Experts on Rebranding Within Their Party After Defeat; Democrats Need to Do the Same [1]

Republicans Expertly Rebranded After Defeats First With a Come Back With the Tea Party and then With MAGA

After defeats, Republicans expertly rebranded within their parties first with the Tea Party and then with MAGA. Both movements within the party gave the Republican Party new life after huge defeats. They created grassroots movements to make people excited and to bring back disaffected Republican voters and bring new voters into the party.

The Democrats need a similar big rebranding within the party. Democrats need to refocus and rebrand and create a movement within the party that speaks to voters. One with a positive vision and hope rather than the fear and darkness offered by MAGA. The Republicans rose from the dead twice. First, after Bush’s banking and housing crisis with the Tea Party and then after McCain and Romney’s loses with MAGA.

Democrats Need to Take a Page From the Republican Rebranding Handbook

Democrats need a branded movement within the party. A movement from the grassroots and not the elitists and that is not confined to progressive enclaves. A movement that will breathe new life into the party. Americans do not like one party power. They like balance. The Republicans may have the Presidency, Senate, House and Supreme Court, but the midterm elections will be the Democrats for the taking if they can successfully create a branded grassroots movement. And after that Trump with be a lame duck. Let’s start a movement!
