Hi venthoolipals! Everybody take a deep breath and snuggle up with your blankie. It's gonna be a long week.

How was your weekend?

I'm in Modesto stumping for our next Democratic Congressman from the heart of the Central Valley, Adam Gray , a decent, centrist fellow who served in the state legislature for 10 years and lost the House contest in 2022 by fewer than 600 votes, and to send rad firebrand Jessica Self to represent the Valley in Sacramento.

We've sent out hundreds of volunteers who knocked on more than 21,000 doors in the district this weekend alone. I have to believe we are making a difference. I went out and knocked on doors late this afternoon and told a lot of people they could go to the voting center down the street and cast a ballot even if they aren't registered yet, and yes, they can vote even if they're a convicted felon if they've served their time. (Yay for California voting laws!) I have to think one or two will do it.

Keeping busy prevents anxieting out on the verge of tears. So that's the plan til the polls close Tuesday... which happens to be my birthday! Hoping for a super duper one.
