What? [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-11-02 Talk about letting the cat (burglar) out of the bag!! So, what I understand to be is a home-security company is airing a commercial on network tv. In the ad, what can be heard is the voice of a person who announces to a person on screen who looks to be conducting a home robbery, that law enforcement is on the way. Great. Alert the alleged intruder of responding law enforcement’s impending arrival! So I’m picturing in my mind that with said alleged robbery suspect in flight, a high-speed street chase ensues. I believe most are in the know regarding how those things can go. Or, how about this scenario? What if a member or members of the affected household happen to be on the premises at the time the place is being robbed? What then? Okay, so what if, maybe I’ve got it all wrong; that I’m not looking at this right. What if said tv spot is not only directed at or intended for the property owner who may or may not be in the market for a security system as a means to better secure his or her property but, as well, to any person who just may have burglarizing on their mind. So, is what we’re looking at here a case of a concern, in a manner of speaking, minding the store or is the store, in this case, being given away? What I’m really asking is: “why would anyone want to tip off a burglar, I mean anyone other than a fellow accomplice, that is?” Shine a light on this one — please!
