Knock knock knocking on North Carolina’s doors [1]

I live in NH but because of some personal craziness I find myself in Moore County, North Carolina for the two weeks leading up to the election. Naturally I turned up at the local Dems office hoping to help. This is a very red area near a military base so I didn’t expect much. I was so wrong. The energy, enthusiasm, and organization was phenomenal. So much material, so many volunteers. The two young guys from the coordinated campaign- outstanding.



I’ve been knocking on doors with other volunteers. One guy was a speech writer for a sitting senator in the area from DC for a local wedding doing a little door knocking because he had a couple of free hrs. Another woman from Colorado visiting family and then lots of local people and the local Dems.



There are no Republicans out knocking doors and we’ve been in neighborhoods where they should be. This is a get out the vote effort so we are only knocking on dem and dem leaning doors. It’s been great. Everyone we spoke to is anxious and knows every vote counts.

Just a little report to say — I know you’re anxious I am too but it’s being done right here in NC.
