And yes — unless you are gonna stand up to a bully — the bully will win. This is the mechanism that Fascist Propaganda uses because it works. What mechanism? Propping up a bully to maintain order and wipe out dissent, knowing that once you have a large enough crowd supporting you: willfully or hiding in fear — you win — do what you want and continue the blitzkrieg. Hillary Clinton conceded defeat with “when they go low we go high” Why? Because it is mixing apples and oranges. What that message is saying despite it’s words is this If you hit me I won’t defend myself. Can we please have an honest conversation here — if you really think that my words are a call to violence I can’t help you and you can’t help yourself or your country — hate me in the comments and stop reading, because you are not listening. Bigotry — and the threat of violence are real force in American politics. It is commonly called “owning the libs” and cheered on by weak people who trust in a bully to maintain a plantation economy. Because no matter how bad it gets — the bully side will have it better, and they will put everyone else in a concentration camp to prove it. They can bank on it because the other side faces violence with an appeal to morality. You quite literally can’t have a conversation on KOS about what it means to “fight” because we run away from such words as a call to violence. The violence has been called for — you didn’t do it, however: what are you gonna do about it? Will you cry when they haul off your friends and family? Will you get mad on a internet venthole? A lack of response is a concession that you will roll over. If you don’t like hearing that — what are you listening to that gives you the optimism that an appeal for ethical behavior will balance the scales? The more we make a moral appeal the faster the violence will come. The other-side of your argument isn’t arguing with you, they don’t give a shit about your feelings. The maga nut bags paraded a response to clinton with t-shirts in big bold letters “fuck your feelings” ….. and you think you are A. In a moral argument. B. Persuading people to side with the people about to be hit, who do not believe in self defense. They are fine with rape, they are fine with substandard wages , they are fine with racism, and it’s not a threat — it’s a promise. Stop being deluded that you can win a war that only exists in the world you wish you lived in. The bubble on the other-side is a lie and we know it — but look at how many people believe it. They are hiding behind a bully that you won’t fight — leaving only Goliath on the field. I do not believe violence will solve anything it will only make things worse — and here is the problem: they don’ care. The good news is that we outnumber them, the better news is that the more visible our advantage is the more support they loose. And they are gonna promise and deliver the violence proportionate to the resistance that we have to it. Is self defense a call to Violence? Why is a call to direct violence by a bully “free speech” an a call to “self defense” a call to violence? They do this shit because they can. And the only way it ever stops is when you stop it. If the Right felt that there was no tolerance for this shit — they be using a different strategy. Thank you for reading this post. Nowhere in my words have I called for violence. I have left the word “fight” out there and not defined it as violence as i have with the term “self defense” I would like very much to explore these topics in a open exchange of ideas, however, when I do: i get timed out, from fearful people who refuse to look at reality, who cannot even tolerate conversations about non violent self defense. Many years ago i got a free ticket to music conference that was showcasing adult contemporary music. It was a posh event, I was there on someone else’s dime. At one of the showcase concerts a bunch kids were running around on a beautiful well gardened lawn. Some 10-12 year old boys decided to name call and push smaller children to the ground and rough them up. None of the parents to any of the kids were paying attention, so it escalated. I got in front of the 10 to 12year old boys and yelled so loud for them to stop beating on little kids that the parents then turned heads. My words let the boys know i would not tolerate the behavior, and volume and response to violence let the parents know the boys were aggressive. Those boys ran to parents who then coddled them and they walked away — none said sorry to the little kids, none of the little kids parents thanked me, because the kids were upset and needed consoling. But : I stayed where i was and the little kids came back and played near to me and they older boys beat each other up at the other end of the field. Please go find your adult pants and stop the violence. It is coming and people like me would love your company.
