Supporting High-Impact, Down-Ballot Candidates [1]

Advocate for youth, service, and the common good, non-profit leader Dr. Lorenza Wilkins is running a great campaign in a crucial area, where a swing state house district overlaps a swing state senate and swing US House district. Each voter here can cast 15 different votes in swing elections, 3 swing district votes and votes in 12 statewide elections.



Voters here can elect Dr. Wilkins to the state house, help elect James Mercer in overlapping State Senate district 11, and re-elect Don Davis to the overlapping US House district.



This is one of the best opportunities to gain the seat needed to block Republican efforts to override vetoes.



Josh Stein is likely to defeat his Black Nazi opponent, but Democrats must also gain at least one state legislative seat to be able to block Republican efforts to override vetoes by the governor.



Low African American turnout in this area, and the rest of the North Carolina Black Belt, cost Democrats dearly in 2022, but Dr. Wilkins has been working to get out the vote, which will boost other Democrats on the ticket in overlapping districts and statewide.
