This Election is Obliterating Political Silos with Many Republicans Voting Against Trump [1]

There is a heap of anecdotal evidence ( when one sees a preponderance of anecdotal evidence, in multiple places, it tends to mean something) to suggest that a sizeable chunk of Republicans are voting for Harris. Sure, the evidence is on message boards at places like “The Bulwark,” and “The MeidasTouch Network” (as reported in the diary by Davidkc), or on Rick Wilson’s site, and TikTok...

But the massiveness of this self reporting is what makes me believe this is not a fluke.

The amount of times I have seen ordinary people ( not politicians or generals) saying they are a first time Democratic voter (and voting straight ticket for the Blue team no less) has been overwhelming. So many now, it is impossible to count.



This confirms with my initial sense: Trump is an unlikeable person to most Americans, and this campaign ( despite the hoopla and bullshit) was doomed upon lift off. Moreover, he cannot win without those suburban and rural conservative votes. I further believe that many of the Republican early votes we are seeing are not necessarily for Dump, but for Harris...or they are right ins, or 3rd party voters.

This also confirms the strategy of the Harris campaign is working: appeal to pro-democracy conservatives. The media will have a lot to answer for when Harris finally wins. They have done an utterly shitty job of reporting on this fact, so used to boosting the standard binary narrative about the opposing parties.
