[1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-10-20 There’s been a lot of dumping on the Washington Post here on DK, but they are hardly alone in one important role in the upcoming election. By this time in the 2020 election cycle, the following daily newspapers had endorsed Biden over Trump (partial list): Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Boston Globe, Minnesota Star-Tribune, Newsday, East Bay Times/Mercury News, Seattle Times, Orlando Sentinel, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, Detroit Free Press, Baltimore Sun, San Francisco Chronicle, San Diego Union-Tribune, Las Vegas Sun, Cleveland Plain Dealer, ... But as of yesterday (source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/News_media_endorsements_in_the_2024_United_States_presidential_election), only the NY Times and Boston Globe have endorsed Harris-Walz. Walz's own state's leading paper, The Star-Tribune, has apparently chosen not to endorse a candidate. To be fair, not all of Trump’s 2020 endorsers have done so this year, either. It's Sunday, so there may be some endorsements coming out today, but WTF??? Do these editorial boards think Trump has grown to be a more attractive candidate than he was four years ago? Or are they afraid that if Trump/Vance are elected they will come under fire for endorsing the other side?
