Remember, remember, the 5th of Roevember... [1]

First time ever posting a diary. Thought I’d share the poem that I wrote.

Feel free to spread it far and wide. We are not going back!

This year, I am more politically active than at any other time in my life. I look to my two adult daughters and see the possibility that they may have to live with the harsh realities of the government making life decisions for them. This, I can not abide. They are at the point in life when they are deciding on how they want to approach motherhood, or whether they do not want to at all. I want them to have all the options that I had.

I currently live in Nebraska and we are presented with dueling initiatives on abortion. If both initiatives pass, then the governor (R) gets to make the final decision. The stakes are high and I am hopeful that enough people see through the Right’s gamesmanship to safeguard our young women’s lives.

The mate and I filled out our ballots today, which will go out in tomorrow’s mail. So, there are at least two votes for sanity.

Vote to protect our young people.
