Early voting in Montgomery County, OH [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-10-18 This is just a snapshot but yesterday, my wife and voted early at the Montgomery County, OH (Dayton) Board of Elections downtown. The parking garage was full and when we made it down to the voting area, the voting booths were nearly full and there was a steady stream of voters for the about half-hour we were there. Much more activity this time than when we voted early in 2020. Can’t say, of course, which party was doing better but I noticed the Democratic Party’s campaign table in the parking garage was doing better business than the Republican right next to it. The Democrats came out and greeted people while the Republican representatives kind of just stayed behind their desk and seemed to expect people to come to them. Montgomery County is bright purple, with the city and a few of the inner suburbs largely Democratic while the outer ‘burbs and countryside are bright red.
