The past week and a half or so has been a rough one for me IRL. But really...I can either sulk or do something about it. Soooooooooo… I just got off the phone with Mom and I am already in a better mood. I never imagined that I would be the type of person that would depend on a parent to lift me out of a bad mood but, nowadays, Mom never fails to make me laugh regaling various tales of family gossip or even a few thing that are TMI. I understand that everyone is not able to have that type of relationship with a parent and I didn’t have that type of relationship with Mom until I was in my 40’s. I appreciate it. I just got turned on to this tangerine tea that I simply think is delicious. I’m going to make a hot cup right after I finish this notebook. There is a football game on tonight, I might watch it and I might not. I might watch the news and I might not. Maybe this is one of those nights where I just need to curl up with a hardcover book, drink my tea, and shut out the world for the night.
