Cruz needs to lose [1]

My name is Jeremiah Prophet and as a journalist who has severe Cerebral Palsy, I am endorsing Colin Allred to be the next Senator of Texas. In my opinion, Texas needs a serious Senator who puts the needs for his fellow Texans first. There are 4 reasons why I am supporting Allred. My first reason I am supporting Allred is that he will be an independent minded politician. Allred has been a supporter of small business earning an endorsement by the City of Commerce for both reelection campaigns to the US House of Representatives. Allred has also been endorsed by the AFL-CIO in both of his reelection campaigns making it a rarity that these opposing organizations would endorse the same politician. Allred supported the bipartisan infrastructure bill and the CHIPS Act that helped build our country back after the economy tanked from the Covid-19 pandemic. .Allred will be supporting a long overdue increase in the minimum wage to fifteen bucks a hour. The second reason I am voting for Allred is that he will be supporting the tough border bill that would be on Vice-President Harris' to-do list on her 100 day legislative agenda. This bill will put an extra 1500 border security agents and an additional 100 immigration judges across our southern border making it harder for immigrants who are coming into America illegally. This will dramatically cut down the crowded traffic on our border considering that border agents will have additional manpower to process undocumented migrants striving for a better life here. The bill will also let Homeland Security to shut down the border if there are too many immigrants crossing into America. The third reason I am supporting Allred is that he will be making efforts to fix our state's systematically broken power grid. Allred will do this by voting for solar and wind power projects that would help stabilize the grid. The potential Allred votes for solar and wind power projects will be a nice change from his opponent's cow-toeing to the oil lobby. The oil and gas industry has donated 1.875 million dollars to Senator Cruz since his reelection campaign in 2018. We deserve a Senator who will take the fundamental flaws of our power grid seriously and not one who skips out on a legitimate crisis. The election of Allred will be far and away the best outcome for lowering Texans' energy costs around our state as we would have someone who will fight against energy monopolies of oil companies. My final reason I will support Allred is due to the fact I know he will be a big advocate for the disability community. Allred supports making public transportation fully accessible to disabled people living in the community making it easier for these individuals to live their lives. This will undoubtedly help these individuals to find a good job that will help engrained themselves back in their respective communities Allred will vote for the legalization of Marijuana making it easier for disabled people to get much-needed relief from the aches and pains of our daily lives. I strongly urge you to consider this when you go vote on November 5th.
