The brain behind Project 2025 boasts of killing neighbor’s dog [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-09-25 Kevin Roberts, dog murderer? Overwhelming evidence proves the common observation that when a MAGA points the finger, every accusation is indeed a confession. But if there were any doubt the Guardian reports the following: The man behind Project 2025, the rightwing policy manifesto that includes calls for a sharp increase in immigrant deportations if Donald Trump is elected, told university colleagues about two decades ago that he had killed a neighborhood dog with a shovel because it was barking and disturbing his family, according to former colleagues who spoke to the Guardian. The article continued, Kevin Roberts, now the president of the Heritage Foundation, is alleged to have told colleagues and dinner guests that he killed a neighbor’s pit bull around 2004 while he was working as a still relatively unknown history professor at New Mexico State University The paper quoted Kenneth Hammond, who was chair of the university’s history department at the time. “My recollection of his account was that he was discussing in the hallway with various members of the faculty, including me, that a neighbor’s dog had been barking pretty relentlessly and was, you know, keeping the baby and probably the parents awake and that he kind of lost it and took a shovel and killed the dog. End of problem.” Hammond was not the Guardian’s only source. Two other people – a professor and her spouse - recall hearing a similar account directly from Roberts at a dinner at his home. Three other professors also said they heard the account at that time from the colleagues who said they had heard it directly from Roberts. When contacted by the newspaper, Roberts denied the murder. In a statement to the Guardian, Roberts denied ever killing a dog with a shovel. He did not answer questions about why several people say he told them that he had. “This is a patently untrue and baseless story backed by zero evidence. In 2004, a neighbor’s chained pit bull attempted to jump a fence into my backyard as I was gardening with my young daughter. Thankfully, the owner arrived in time to restrain the animal before it could get loose and attack us.” This leaves three possibilities. The witnesses are telling the truth — and Roberts did murder the neighbor’s dog The witnesses are lying — and Roberts did not kill the neighbor’s dog The witnesses are telling the truth that Roberts said he killed the neighbor’s dog — but he did not actually kill the dog. In which case, why did he say he did? Is this milksop trying to come off as a tough guy? I think the third is a distinct possibility. A political movement that features tasseled-loafered warriors bleating about manhood from behind a microphone (Tucker Carlson) or while running away from 1/6 rioters (Josh Hawley) is proven to attract pantywaists pretending to be studs. MAGA projection The ‘Haitian immigrants are eating the dogs, they’re eating the cats’ meme went viral from a Facebook post by a Springfield OH resident. In the ‘report’ Erika Lee, said a neighbor, Kimberly Newton, had told her that an acquaintance of another neighbor had told her that her cat had gone missing and may well have been stolen and eaten by a Haitian immigrant. If that sounds confusing it is because it is. This is unsurprising because the truth can only be the truth — while a lie can take multiple forms Then the cat in question, Miss Sassy (of course) turned up in her owner's basement two days later. But that infamously did not prevent Trump and his Boy Blunder from spreading the lie — and expanding on it to include dogs and geese. However, the GOP’s campaign to demonize foreigners as domestic carnivores does not mean that American pets are not victims of canicidal maniacs. However, despite the acceptance of Trump’s lies as gospel truth by the cultists, the dog murderers in question are citizens. Trump VP aspirant, Kristi Noem, saw her political future evaporate when she boasted of executing a dog and a goat she deemed too ill-mannered and malodorous to live. Roberts added an additional dimension in his contribution to pet-slaying. Kristi administered her coups de grâce to animals belonging to her. Kevin exercised his blood lust on the neighbor’s pet. Conclusion The sociopaths at the top of the GOP ticket will say anything to win. Even if they know their lies will put the safety of a legal immigrant community in jeopardy. And disrupt the lives of American citizens. Meanwhile, the only people who are likely guilty of the crime these despicable sadists accuse innocent people of, are their teammates.
