[1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-09-20 I just took my lunch break to go down to the elections office in Minnesota to vote early. At 10:30 AM, the parking lot was packed. A lot of enthusiastic voters! I voted early in 2020, and there wasn’t anywhere near that many people. Voting still didn’t take long because Minnesota really knows how to handle voting. When you arrive, you’re given an absentee voting application, and they explain how to fill it out — the parts you need to fill out are highlighted. Then you stand in line with the application, they take your form, look up your precinct to get the right ballot, and they hand you a ballot and two envelopes and send you to a voting booth. You fill out the ballot, take it to another table, put your ballot in the brown envelope, they put the brown envelope in the outer envelope and you sign the outer envelope. A very easy process with knowledgeable staff. This is the new state flag Minnesota adopted this year. It just recently noticed that the left side of the flag is shaped like the State of Minnesota. The star is from the rotunda of the Minnesota State Capitol in Saint Paul.
