Maybe a simple and doable strategy to turn Texas Blue? [1]

As a Texas Democrat frustrated at seeing one election after another slip away from us, Aashirs nani‘s post here on his/her problems registering to vote as a new resident in Texas really caught my eye-but it was the image included with the article (which I am also including here) that got me to thinking.

It is pretty well known that Texas has a horrible voting turn out. This image shows there are almost as many nonvoters in the state as both red and blue voters combined. The way I look at it, these nonvoters are a potential goldmine for Texas Democrats. If every Texan voting Blue can convince even only one nonvoter they know to get to the polls and vote Blue, it can cause a massive shift in our election outcomes and Texas can deliver its 40 electoral votes to help a Harris/Walz win.

Now I am not asking you to spend a lot of time out knocking on doors and campaigning (but if you want to, then huge kudos to you) but if every Blue voter can at least convince at least only one nonvoter to get to the polls and vote for Harris and Allred, we can do this, we can win Texas.

There is a pretty well known saying in Texas “One Ranger, One Riot” that is attributed to notable Texas Ranger Captain W.J. McDonald. This motto can also inspire Texans that one determined and capable person can change the course of a situation and prevent chaos. I haven’t been able to come up with as succinct slogan that that to encourage Texans to convince just one friend or acquaintance how important this election is to their freedom and for the best welfare of their country and their state (maybe someone else can come up with with one); the best I can do is “Changing one nonvoter at a time turns Texas Blue”

Now I have gotten my one non-voter to register and commit to vote Blue in this election-so fellow Texas Democrats, each of you get off your blue butts and get your one nonvoter to the polls this election and we have a real chance to turn Texas blue.
