#SaneWashing — call out the media, get it trending during debate [1]

SaneWashing is a term I believe was coined by independent journalist Aaron Ruper to describe the media’s habit of making Trump sound much more sane than he is.

They ignore the craziest stuff he says and clean up anything close to not nuts to make him sound like he should be considered a normal candidate.

The Harris campaign did a great job of kicking the traditional media in the teeth during the convention by inviting & treating with respect independent media & influencers. It also got them much more favorable coverage.

I think the debate is a good time to emphasize SaneWashing. Try to get it trending.

Simply compare what Trump actually says on any issue to how it’s reported in the media.

Post a clip of Trump & next to it a quote from a story about the debate.

Tag the reporters. Use the reporter’s tweets. Ask why they distorted Trump’s answers so clearly.

Take the fight right to the dishonest media.

We should be relentless with this. Lots of people have no idea Trump regularly talks about wind and windmills killing birds, that you can’t watch TV when it rains if you have solar power because he either pretends there’s no such thing as a battery or doesn’t know solar panels feed energy into batteries, so people still have power when it rains.

He’s recently been claiming people send their boy off to school, and the school gives him an operation and returns home a transgendered girl to those parents that afternoon.

And the media doesn’t say he’s a lunatic?
