I opined a subdued Trump would appear. I was right for a couple of minutes [1]

All the poor doofus had to do was to appear as a more subdued version of the candidate he has been portraying all week. He just couldn’t help himself. She, (are you kidding, a she?) SHE, got under his skin and he went all psycho-would-be-dictator right there on the debate stage. And all she had to do was (no open mic required) to raise that noble chin, squint, and give that look that says, “are you alright?”

Everyone who said I gave him too much credit was right. I am so glad you were correct and my pessimism has taken a grateful beating.
