Why Harris/Walz can lose in November [1]

It IS the economy, stupid — the economy of the devastating hyper-inflated cost of Americans’ NEEDS (housing, medical care, safety) that threaten average Americans.

Far and away the best article I’ve read so far on this huge problem. The author, Joe Tauke not only provides strong background data and analyses on inflation, but he also explains why Dems could easily lose in November unless they/we start to vocally acknowledge this and and offer some solid solutions/goals.

Doing that would be very hard & gutsy because It means seriously taking on the filthy rich & powerful corporations and arrogant oligarchs (American and foreign) with mega$ to spend fighting any potentially effective proposals. That also would feed the trolling clamors of “communist Marxist pinko socialists” from the usual suspects. Of course, Harris showed that strength while a prosecutor in California. But that was years ago, in very different legal and political times.

The good news is that at least 3 times before, American leaders (notably TDR, FDR, Lincoln), backed by popular sentiment, successfully faced down similar problems.

I encourage all Kossers to read Tauke’s article, pass it on to campaign managers, friends, family and Dem politicians and leaders. I plan today to send this to Michael Moore, Brian Tyler Cohen and others who I hope have more influence on our politicians. Other obvious targets would be Warren and Sanders.

Do Something useful -now, please!

Ignore Arlington and similar distractions and time/energy black holes. Focus on the gargantuan elephant/self-serving greedhead minority in the room. Let’s fight to keep them from forcing us into ever deeper thralldom than we already are. To keep any semblance of an America “of the people, for the people and by the people”, we need to act now; too little time to do anything else.

PS This is my first try at a DK story. I hope its useful.
