[1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-09-03 Real quick post. Tried to search for anything on this subject with no luck. It’s so simple that I can’t believe no one mentioned it previously including Musk himself. Ok, Mr. Musk wants his X trademark on everything I guess even though it’s as awkward as hell to discuss his repurposed social media platform as a noun let-alone a verb as when “tweeting” was used. So, instead of using X as the platform name, use Xiter, and for the individual Xs use Xits with Xiting being a natural for the verb and problems solved. By combining the sounds of tweet and X seems much more “normal” if it catches on and since Musk bought twitter, I assume he can still freely use the wordage as he pleases.
