For years now, since the success of the southern strategy the right has broke norm after norm.

They violate decorum and we fall back. They pack the courts with unqualified ideologues and stole a supreme court seat. We fell back yet again. Defense after defense, selling to the youth the value of harm reduction. Reminding us all that we need power to effect change.

Power which a revived electorate is with luck and hard work is poised to deliver to us. Potentially 51 non bought out or corrupted to the bone by west virginia coal billions. Finally a chance to break the chains with which the GOP both held us and beat us.



At this supreme moment where momentum is ours and enthusiasm is the path to victory why am I hearing weak willed mealy mouthed limited filibuster carve outs?



The damage done to this nation is far deeper than just voting rights reform and roe versus wade.



What do you do when the supreme court rules those voting rights to be illegal? Are we to tell the youth watching the world die oopsie we need 60 votes in an unfairly slanted senate to do anything. Oh no, it is OK that those nay votes represent a fraction of the population and even less of our wealth. It is OK that they cut us off at the knees when the world is dying, we will work harder to get Alabama to turn blue and maybe one day even utah!



No, enough of the “we need more” nonsense, the youth and the middle aged and even the elderly are beginning to rise up and we will deliver the votes to win this election and we will never go back.



But I tell you this, it is not enough not to go back, we must push forward. Timid is NOT the way to break forward.



Lincoln was not timid, FDR WAS NOT TIMID when he pushed reforms which turned our nation into an economic superpower. The democrats paid when we did the right thing on civil rights, just like we pay doing the right thing by the LGBTQ+ community. Do not repay us the effort we are mustering now with half measures and bandaids on the cancerous tumor which is what the GOP has done to our entire system.



Kill the filibuster. Do it, run on it BE BOLD. We will back you. The GOP have cheated at every turn and regularly disenfranchise millions, kill the filibuster and give us genuine vote reform WITH a legal right to sue to protect our rights with a burden on the state of protecting voter rights.

Do not end there, KILL THE FILIBUSTER.

Then vote to strengthen the Post Office, vote to put taxes on the rich where they need to be. Vote to put food in the mouths of every school child.



Vote to put the right to privacy and abortion beyond the reach of a radical court.
