I keep hearing Kamala Harris didn’t get a convention bounce. Despite the fact that legacy media kept saying over and over that the former guy was leading in the polls, despite the fact that his lead in the polls was within the margin of error, and despite the fact that polls now show Harris is leading and legacy media insists loudly it is within the margin of error. Legacy media just wants a horse race so they can rake in ad revenue and will do anything at this point to assert their relevance…relevance they see disappearing because of their own smug insistence that they are important. Polls (which I must admit are increasingly inaccurate) have shown a reversal of fortune, and it isn’t just the polls. The enthusiastic crowds that greet Harris are in sharp contrast to the crowds that greet the former guy, who sometimes sit in stunned silence when he goes off on his “weave” (you really want to hear a weave listen to Keith Richards and Ron Wood play “When the Whip Comes Down”). The contrast is even sharper when you look at the national conventions. The Republicans’ convention was a funeral, the Democrats’ convention was a party. If turning the tables on the front runner isn’t a bounce I guess I don’t know what is.
