Rump (and elevating Kamala!) forget the love and make war. When Biden was running against the Orange Menace, the legacy media took every opportunity to discuss Joe’s age, to expound at length upon each of his tiny missteps, his every cough and stutter, and to ask if he was slipping into senility, had the stamina for four more years in office and on and on…and on. But now that T. Rump is by far the oldest candidate in the race, there is hardly a word in the main stream media about his endless gaffs, rambling, disjointed rhetoric, forgetting of people’s names or confusing them with others and so on. That is to say, the press often mentions these things, but, so far as I’ve seen — and I read a lot about this election — they’re not discussed them within the obvious context of his incipient dementia or his capacity to serve a full term as POTUS. So, it’s up to us to put this message in front of the public, vociferously, constantly, and at every opportunity between now and November 5. Post the questions on social media, in Letters to the Editor, and discuss them in private conversations (to get your friends talking about it to their other friends) and in public venues. Is Trump getting senile? If he were to be elected, how old would he be when he finished his term in office? It seems like there is no way he could serve a four year term as President. Doesn’t he seem more confused every day? Are his gaffs a sign of senility or incipient dementia? Who would really be running the country if he took office? He calls his rambling “weaving,” meaning weaving themes together, but he often loses the thread — and besides, weaving is what drunk drivers do. You get the idea, and you can have fun putting your own spin on this particular attack strategy. Oh, and if you happen to be a kind person who’s concerned about promulgating ageism well, good for you. I’ll just say I’m 78 (T. Rump’s age), and although I recognize the symptoms of aging creeping up on me, I’m strong and able, and I would be hurt if I were regarded or treated as an “old guy.” But I’m also not pretending that I would have the capacity to be President starting in January, and I’m not asking that you give me control over your life and future. So as I said, all’s fair in love and war, and this is war. Diss the dude. Read my Election Hack #1.
