And Now for Something Completely Different [1]

I wonder if the Harris team is thinking of something novel to do at the Sept. 10 debate, something that changes the whole debate model and breaks trump’s mind.

Here’s an idea for the debate team and Kamala. Eliminate the moderators and speak directly to trump. During the debate, each time you’re asked a question by the moderators, provide a crisp answer, one word if possible, and then pivot to the topic, saying “we need to discuss something more important tonight, the elephant in the room, donald trump’s clear mental illness”. Kamala should talk about this all night long with different examples of grift, corruption, treason, incompetence, criminality and dementia by trump and ask for a response. There is enough time in the question time to explain the defect clearly to the american public and explain how that violates american morality.

Think through how this would work. Kamala answers the moderator’s question, then decribes a despicable item of trump in great detail. Right at the end of her time, she asks trump to explain. Her time ends. Back to the moderator. The moderator is in a quandry. He should ask the next question on his list, or should he give trump a chance to respond to kamala? If trump goes for the bait and responds to kamala, he’s hooked and then he’s responding to kamala rather than the moderators. Kamala can continue to hammer him at will. If he ignores kamala and answers the question, then kamala’s assertions go unanswered and they stand. Then the layering of additional examples will help. Kamala should ignore any trump answer and move to the next example when she gets her next question.

In my view, this is not a debate on policy or even character. It shouldn’t even be a debate. Trump has been diagnosed as a malignant narcissist. This has to be brought into the mainsteam. the groundwork has been laid that trump is weird. the next step is that trump is weird because he’s mentally ill. This is a debate to reveal the narcissism, the paranoia, the anti-social behavior, and the sadism that trump demonstrates continually. MSM will be forced to make this a big story as well (although i could still see the nyt with “kamala breaks traditional structure, treats trump poorly’)

We will never get another opportunity like this. This is the one time trump is nailed to the mat like an insect and can’t run away. The goal is to turn the rest of america against trump and this could be the decisive moment. Note: please game it out so that you have contingencies for unexpected behaviors by both trump and the moderators.

I have no pipeline into the the political apparatus and zero influence. I’d appreciate someone letting the kamala campaign know about this idea. Perhaps they can come up with something even better.
