Spare time? [1]

I’ve got just the thing for you. A way to fill spare time with meaningful stuff, maybe even making the world a better place. Phone banking. Well, I don’t really know why they call it that because some of its actually text banking.

I have noticed that when people are killing time waiting, they tend to mess with their phones. Waiting on their to go order in a restaurant, waiting in line anywhere and waiting at the doctor's office for their names to be called.

I’ve always wondered what they are doing with their phones but I’m a bit of a luddite, I’m sure I wouldn’t understand.

I just talked to a friend of mine, and he’s been text banking for Therese Gamble. He said it started out slow but when he got the hang of it, he could send 2 in 5 seconds. He said he did a thousand in less than 2 hours. I am very low tech, but so is my friend. He said it was crazy, it just clicked, and he was off and texting.
