Local Democratic Candidates Need Your Support Most of All!! [1]

While presidential elections shape national policies, local elections for positions like mayor, city council, and school board are equally important because they directly impact your daily life and community.

Here's why:

1. Local Governance: Mayors and city councils make decisions about local issues such as public safety, infrastructure, zoning, and city budgets. These decisions affect everything from road maintenance to local business regulations.

2. Education Policy: School boards influence the quality of education by setting policies for local schools, determining curriculum standards, and managing budgets that affect teachers' pay, school facilities, and student resources.

3. Community Services: Local officials oversee essential services like police, fire departments, sanitation, and public health. Their decisions directly impact the quality and availability of these services.

4. Accountability: Local elected officials are more accessible and accountable to their constituents. Voters can have a direct influence on local policies and can more easily hold officials accountable through community engagement.

5. Policy Experimentation: Local governments often serve as testing grounds for new policies and initiatives that, if successful, could be adopted at the state or national level. In essence, local elections determine how your community operates on a daily basis, making them just as crucial as national elections.

The Local Candidates running for Mayor, City Council and School Borad don't have access to the same level of financial resources as National Candidates. As a committee we are hiring workers to go out and knock on doors on behalf of not just for Kamala Harris for President and the Congressional candidates but equally as important the local candidates as well.
