WAYWO: Crazy Week [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-08-11 So this past Wednesday, my husband had knee replacement surgery. A couple of non-medical glitches, but things went well and he was sent home with a walker the same day. He was able to walk around and get up and down out of chairs, bed, and use the toilet with a little help. Same thing Thursday morning. Things were getting a little more difficult for him that afternoon, but still workable. However, things got much worse Friday morning. I had gone out to do our marketing, and when I returned, I found he had gone to use the bathroom, and could not get up, even using the walker. We had to call the paramedics to get him up. Since he couldn’t bear weight on the operated leg, he was taken back to the hospital to figure out what was wrong. After an MRI, an ultra-sound, and an overnight stay, it was determined that there was no infection or problem with the implant, so the likely cause was pain and weakness in the quadriceps muscle. He is now in a rehab facility so he can get physical therapy. What Are You Working On?
