A fragile JD Vance whines that Harris/Walz are “schoolyard bullies” [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-08-11 JD Vance got off his couch and spent his Sunday morning whining on TV. I assume he was trying to plug the holes in Trump’s sinking campaign. But whatever his purpose, it did not go well. MAGA likes to imagine its standard bearers are virile heroes, manning the ramparts of Fort America, protecting the womenfolk and small children from perverts, degenerates, feminists, foreigners, history, and literature. But all I see is a whiny bastard kvetching that the enemy isn’t fighting fair. It is the classic whinge of a weak man who has been laughed at by a girl who is out of his league. During a conversation with Dana Bash on CNN’s State of the Union, JD moaned, “It drives home how they are trying to distract from their own policy failures. I mean look, this is fundamentally schoolyard bully stuff.” My advice to Vance is: if you cannot stand being laughed at, don’t be a punchline. Of course, there was more. And because it is Vance, it was weird. JD retreated to his preferred debate strategy: “I’m rubber, you’re glue.” In a masterpiece of projection, he accused the other side of projection, while he projected. He told Bash, “I’m doing this because I think that me being vice president will help improve people’s lives, so I accept their attacks, but I think that it is a little bit of projection, Dana.” “Their attacks”? If if you think that someone repeating what you said is an attack, then you should be a hell of a lot more careful about what you say. I’ll grant you that the “weird“ was a Walz original. But if that has hurt your feelings, it’s time to grow a spine. In addition, as the Trump/Vance campaign has yet to offer any policies that will improve people's lives, we can only assume that the ‘how’ of Vance’s plan will be revealed in a week or two - a month at the most - and it will be the best plan ever. While we are waiting, Vance will keep lying. (Mendacity is an addiction, hard to kick — especially if you have no moral compass to assist in your cure.) He added, “So I think that what it is is two people, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, who aren’t comfortable in their own skin because they aren’t comfortable with their policy positions for the American people, and so they’re name-calling instead of actually telling the American people how they’re going to make their lives better. I think that’s weird, Dana, but look, they can call me whatever they want to.” “I’m not weird. You’re weird.” Really? I would tell the man to grow up. But he’s 40. So that ship has sailed. I might feel sorry for Vance if he wasn’t such a nasty person. If he wasn’t the sort of callous shit who tells women to stay in abusive relationships. Or the sort of brittle kibitzer who criticizes people for their pet and parenting choices. But I am told he is an intelligent guy - despite sounding like a moron. So I have to assume that he knows Harris loves to laugh and Walz is a happy warrior because they are comfortable in their own skin. And that when he says the ascendant pair have no plans for making the lives of Americans better, he knows they do. And he is desperately trying to distract from the ignoble vacuity of Trumpism - which offers nothing but rights-stripping fascism under the rubric of Project 2025. And that when he accuses the proudly biracial Kamala and the born-and-bred prairie Midwesterner Tim of name-calling, he knows full well that Trump, with JD’s eager repetition , has slimed Harris’s heritage. And Vance himself has slurred Walz as a “San Francisco liberal.” MAGA has written bizarre books and made homoerotic testicle-tanning documentaries about the decline in masculinity in America. Why? It’s because of what they see in their mirrors. A display of poltroonery so profound they deny the reality of the glass. Most second-rate men take pains to hide their fragility. But these milquetoasts are so frangible they can not help but prove it every time they appear on TV. The Harris/Walz battle cry is, “When we fight, we win.” The Trump/Vance truth is, “ We can’t fight, we whine.” [END] --- [1] Url: https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2024/8/11/2262440/-Tough-guy-A-fragile-JD-Vance-whines-that-Harris-Walz-are-schoolyard-bullies?pm_campaign=front_page&pm_source=trending&pm_medium=web Published and (C) by Daily Kos Content appears here under this condition or license: Site content may be used for any purpose without permission unless otherwise specified. via Magical.Fish Gopher News Feeds: gopher://magical.fish/1/feeds/news/dailykos/
