The Trump Campaign Screws Up Again [1]

HuffPost spotted this huge gaffe by the Trump campaign at the Bozeman rally: OOF: Trump Campaign's Anti-Kamala Harris Signs Have 1 Major Flaw. Look at all the “You’re Fired” signs behind the DonOld. Yes, in small letters they say “Lyin’ Kamala” — but you really have to squint to see that.

During the event, people situated behind Trump held up signs reading, in all capital letters, “Lyin’ Kamala, You’re Fired!” — referring to his presidential opponent, Democratic nominee Kamala Harris. (“You’re fired!” was, of course, Trump’s catchphrase while hosting reality show “The Apprentice.”) However, the words “Lyin’ Kamala” were significantly smaller than “You’re Fired,” and barely visible in some videos and images from the rally. The resulting visual made it look more like the crowd was using Trump’s own slogan against him.

Who would have thought that one of Donald Trump’s biggest slogans would end up biting him in the ass. Apparently not his campaign team, who opted to stamp “You’re Fired” all over a rally’s official signage in an ironic turn of events for the former reality TV star. The signs used at Trump’s downtown Atlanta rally on Saturday read, in their entirety, “Lyin’ Kamala, You’re Fired!”—but the choice to print the first part of the message in a much smaller font failed to translate well over TV screens. Instead, millions of Americans witnessed the Republican presidential and vice presidential nominees speak in front of hundreds of fans wearing shirts and waving signs that appeared to call for their exit.

You would think that, with TNR spotting this back then, the Trump campaign would have noticed this and fixed it (and fired the guy who designed the signs). But, nooooo. They doubled down in Bozeman.

And this isn’t the only sign blooper. HuffPost caught this one too:

And in another sign-related blunder for the GOP, Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) appeared onstage Tuesday in Philadelphia in front of a large sign proclaiming “KAMALA CHAOS.” But Trump’s running mate and his supporters largely obscured the second word, giving the impression that his campaign event was in support of Harris.
