Montana to Donny: Where’s the check? Answer: Moneybomb Tester!!! [1]

NBC Montana is reporting that, unsurprisingly, Donny left some unpaid bills throughout the state from 2018, when he held rallies to unseat Senator Jon Tester. (narrator voiceover: he didn’t).

Officials with Missoula County confirmed and sent NBC Montana the invoice showing $12,922.82 is still owed. That breaks down to $10,835.41 for officer salaries, $1,059.26 for dispatcher salaries, $693.72 for Office of Emergency Management and $334.43 for miscellaneous expenses. An official with the city of Billings confirmed they were never reimbursed for the cost of additional police presence totaling $45,900.

The Trump campaign did reimburse Great Falls a whopping $9,372.95, but that still leaves an unpaid tab of $58,822.82. Hmm if there were only someway regular Americans could somehow reimburse the great state of Montana and invest in maintaining a Senate majority.

An influx of cash to Jon Tester would be a wonderful way to welcome Donny back to Montana. Polls are now showing a within the margin of error lead for challenger Tim Sheehy. This new Emerson College poll is showing the “the share of undecided voters has decreased from 14% to 5%” while also capturing some movement towards Harris. While Montana is not in play at the presidential level,

Harris has picked up ground among women voters – 47% support Harris compared to 40% who supported Biden, while Trump maintains around 61% support among male voters,” Kimball said. “Voters with college degrees have also flipped; in March, they broke for Trump by seven points, now breaking for Harris by seven.

I believe a Tim Walz visit or two to Montana would help both Tester and Harris’ chances, and I’m sure the campaign is working to schedule that. Sheehy’s campaign has yet to respond to attempts by Jewish leaders to address rank anti-semitism that has popped up on Sheehy social media at least since May. Sheehy is a problematic candidate in other ways as well, and Tester has shown he can deliver. So, though Tester is one of our most vulnerable incumbent Senators, I like his chances.

So let’s welcome Donald Trump back to Montana and try to recover some of those unpaid bills for the people of Montana!
