Trump has poisoned our discourse and family and friends ridiculously :( [1]

Hi all so I am a longtime Kossak the past 4 yrs. I love this site for the great content of election coverage and a wonderful community to share. So Im posting my first diary. I just wanted to vent about what a terrible precendent Trump has set and he has absolutely made things touchy w my semi MAGA mom. I have had two breaking points w her one 4 yrs ago when she said the election was stolen and that was before J6 and another tonight when she called Tim Walz a deserter. That really ticked me off bc she is a veteran. It is so heartbreaking that at the cost of them wanting to win and not admit their side loves a narcissist egomaniacal traitor they result to petty attacks. I was shaking w rage as it disgusts me to trash any service members record while saying you disagree on policy. Also I have said to my various MAGA friends and family that until Trump admits he lost 2020 admits elections are fair. To her credit she did back Haley in the primaries but she basically bent the knee too. All in all I hope a Harris Walz victory vanquishes Trump and we can hopefully get a GOP that I can just disagree w on policy but align on elections. My mom isnt the only person I care about too that just cant quit their party for this mans awful character. I hope some of you fellow Kossaks see where im coming from. Love this community!
