Let's Take The White House For 20 Years! [1]

I am so happy I could just cry. I had no idea when the “people’s President-To-Be” (my name for her) Harris announced Tim Walz as her running mate the day she did it — I was slammed with work and not connected to the news — but I had been rooting for him the whole time. What a man! He has EVERYTHING we could wish for, in my opinion.

So when I saw it was him, I was beyond happy because he was my first choice and yes, also relieved that we did not get “saddled” with Shapiro and some of his unpopular comments, ideas, policies that could have really hurt us in critical swing states. Even though I do not agree with some of his positions (and now, how much of that was a fucking effort to thwart him by the right wing assholes?), we would have been just fine with him except for the ridiculously outdated electoral college. Because of that (and the possibility of MI for example not ending up in Harris’ electoral college numbers), choices like this matter.

This is a wonderful time to be a Democrat and a wonderful time to be anyone who wants to be helped by one’s government and not forgotten or written off in favor of billionaires getting more billions (disgusting).

I truly love the way BOTH these wonderful souls speak in such “regular, straightforward” ways. I love how they connect with and appeal to SO MANY different types of people in different circumstances, situations, experiences.

I love that they have the next 3 months to show America what we CAN HAVE.

I love the idea of 20 years of Democratic leadership in the White House because of these 2 excellent souls and I will be forever grateful to President Joe Biden for all he has done for our country. What a truly selfless servant of the American people. I hope history books give him every single credit that is due (that the fucking corporate media would not).

I could not feel more hopeful today.

Now I am going to go donate some MORE money to them and work my ass off for them!
