With Walz, I Am One F*ing Reassured Jew! [1]

I’m Jewish. I’m American. What the f*ck is this guy talking about?

The numbskullery involved in this article is astounding — the author assumes that the reassurance Jewish Americans need is that Harris will fully support the actions of the Israeli extremist right-wing government.

No.

The real concerns I hear from my fellow American Jews are that neo-Nazis and white supremacists might win the presidency, the Senate and/or the House in 2024.

While the author does quote a few Jews who refute his conclusion that picking Walz isn’t reassuring for us, he mostly quotes representatives from the most hardline supporters for Israel and uses that to portray American Jewish views. He barely mentions (an oblique reference at the very end) the real concern of Jews that the current atmosphere in the U.S. is reminiscent of 1930s Germany.

I’m American, not Israeli. I’m terrified by what’s happening in the United States — the evil right-wing clan surrounding and led by trump which seems to have swept up a significant portion of the American public; trump’s cultish following; the promotion of hatred and meanness.

I see Walz as a terrific anti-hatred, anti-meanness choice. I am reassured that VP Harris made this choice, that our party’s ticket now includes this midwestern teddybear of a man who exemplifies kindness, openness to others, concern for those most in need and a great sense of humor.

I often defend the NY Times because they truly have some of the best reporters in the business. But they also have an awful lot of idiots and they have dumbfoundingly awful management — mainly because of their lack of oversight of the non-best reporters, those reporters ranging from not-very-good to truly awful.

So here’s the scoop on the guy who wrote this crappy article, one of the main articles on Harris choosing Walz — from CNN in 2019:
