Deputy, and 3 shooters, dead in Florida: possible anti-government attack [1]

Overshadowed yesterday (Monday) here in "The Sunshine State" by Hurricane Debby was what happened just before dark Friday night.

It was in northeast Lake County, just across the Saint John's River from here (Deland, just north of Orlando).

I view northeast Lake County somewhat as a backwoods, attractive to people that want to be "left alone".

A woman calling herself the wife of God directed three Lake County deputies to her home. They were ambushed there by her husband and her two daughters.

One deputy died, and the other two were injured. All three of the shooters apparently then killed themselves in the house. The woman that orchestrated the ambush was arrested.

News reports say the home was filled with weapons, and also indications that the residents were attracted to anti-government things. The sheriff has asked the federal government to help further investigate because the family was reclusive so there is difficulty learning more about them.
